A writer's worst enemy...

Writers’ block. A barrier of sorts designed by an unknown element or being to prevent writers from reaching their goals. Writers everywhere have encountered this destructive creation and many have failed to reach their goals. But for those whom have overcame it and rained victorious have claimed the ultimate prize. The prize of freedom.
They have earned the prize of freedom in many shapes and styles. They spend their freedom in various ways. Some may choose to keep working and pushing themselves to advance pass their goals while others may choose to do nothing. It all depends on the writer. I hope to be the writer who constantly challenges myself to push beyond my limits and to go beyond the expectations of those around me. The next post will be of chapter one. Please comment and let me know what you think about it. I hope you all will enjoy it.

Fortune Cookie Confessions

I received a fortune out of a cookie about three going on four years ago from this date. It said: “You have a very charming way with words and should write a book.” I thought nothing of it and thought I threw it away. I had found it in an old wallet of mine back in August 2011. A few nights after I found the fortune, I had a very vivid dream about this amazing adventure and thus there was my idea for my series Tale of The Curse. I know it’s a bit out of the ordinary, but I’m thrilled to get the chance to share that adventure with everyone. I have had quite a few people come up to me where I live and ask if I’m just in it for the money. And my answer was always, “The money would be nice, but I just want to share my stories with everyone.” And till the day I die, my answer will be the same. Others have told me I should change it to something about Adam and Eve or something a bit more church related, but to be honest I can’t write about something that’s not me. I’m more into the fantasy and fiction. It’s where I feel more like me. I feel more at ease writing about things where anything can happen. Where the most ordinary looking kid can become an incredibly amazing creature and where the underdog can become the hero. I like writing about things people can relate to through either likes, dislikes, places or even personalities. I’m not writing a history book, I’m creating a world where anyone can fit in. don’t get me wrong, Jesus is still my Lord and savior. I just don’t want to write about him. There are so many people out there writing about him anyway. Besides, my series is all about individuality and the mistakes some can make but also learn from. Actual it’s about a lot more than that. As soon as I get it published you will all know what I am trying to say. There will be about twenty chapters in the first book. I’m on chapter thirteen now, so as you can tell I don’t have that much more to go. If you have any questions or comments, please email me at:
